Looking to buy AP1
I really love the S2k for its bang for the buck value and have finally decided to skip the Porsche 951 (although considered one of the best handling car ever made) and am goin for an AP1. I've chosen the AP1 after reading on this forum for quite awhile and it seems to be regarded as the more crude yet more performance oriented but I have a few questions.
1. Why does every one love the glass rear window besides the defogger?
2. Oversteer, understeer...what should I expect?
3. Many say the AP2 is the better daily driver but I'm only concerned with comments about a lack of power before Vtech kicks in. As of now I drive an old Eagle Talon for my daily beater. Could and S2k possibly be any slower in its lower RPMs than my Talon
4. What are the top 5 things I should do to my AP1 where i buy it as far as common problems and performance upgrades that Honda should have done in the first place?
5. I hear the AP2 wheels are bad on the AP1. Is this true?
6. I used to own a early 260Z so I am very used to driving light cars with too much power in rain and snow but will I be going 30mph in 3 inches of snow to avoid my ass end from kicking out even with great snow tires?
I know I know many questions but and help would be much appreciated!

1. Plastic rear windows tend to get scratched/cracked/yellow over time, especially in earlier models that have not been garaged. My car is a 2000 and I only have light scratching, so it mostly depends on how the car was cared for. The plastic rear window is larger though, which I personally like because there's less blind spots with the top up.
2. Oversteer. Lots of oversteer. Early models are especially prone to this, but Honda tweaked the suspension slightly in 2002 to reduce oversteer.
3. Below VTEC, I find that my S2k has plenty of power for driving around town, cruising, etc. I've never driven an Eagle Talon before, but after driving my friend's Scion TC I'd say the S2k is quite a bit faster even at low RPMs. If you need more power, just downshift, and once you hit the powerband (~6.5-9k) it's a blast.
4. If you like listening to music, change the stereo and speakers. They are pretty much terrible in AP1s, especially in earlier AP1s. Other than that, I love the car the way it is, although I added intake/exhaust for better throttle response and sound, and a countersunk shift knob because I prefer a larger shift knob than the stock one.
5. This is not true in any way. Plenty of AP1 owners run AP2 wheels with no problems.
6. I live in California, so I've never driven the car in snow. It's pretty tail happy on the stock tires in the rain, but it's manageable as long as you don't try to drive it like a maniac.
Good luck and welcome!
