Friendly drivers
I just purchased my 2006 silverstone a few months ago and have been impressed with the tight brotherhood of S2K drivers. We all wave at each other like old friends. This weekend was so beautiful in Boston that over the course of one hour I saw four s2000s during my drive (though one had the top up!).
Around here where drivers are so insane and rude, it's nice to see a hand go up with all five digits extended except the just the middle one.

I was out north of town - mostly in the Winchester, Woburn, Stoneham area.
I let a friend of mine drive it on the Fellsway and he turned into a froth-at-the-mouth, fire-eyed maniac at the wheel. He had to pull over because he was trembling from the catecholamine surge. Afterwards he kept shaking his head and muttering, "so fast...just ridiculous...so fast". Poor guy - he had been saying beforehand, "what a cute little Honda..."

BAH!! I have yet to encounter another S while driving my car. I pass them all the time when driving my Civic, and I've seen a few while in the S, but always just out of reach. I've been told by a friend/fellow owner that not all S owners get it, which is a shame, but I'm still ready to show love to anyone with the good sense to choose this wonderful machine.

Hey, come visit the NEw England forum if you haven't already. We're having a great meet this summer (Nor'Easter -- click on my signature, above).I guess your friend isn't used to high-powered cars, eh?

It was such a nice day! Sounds like most of us only put the top up if there's serious hail. Maybe the poor guy has melanoma or something...
The friend who drove my car has a G35x sedan (automatic). It's a nice car, but soft. Has good torque, but feels heavy. He was most impressed with the agility and ability of my S to go fast so easily. While accelerating up a hill he called it "a mysterious anti-gravity device".
My car was fun from 0-600 miles, but for some reason it now has made me even more obsessive...
