future owner with a silver s2k for the summer!
hi world!
so ive been lurking on these forums unregistered for a couple weeks now, seems like a cool bunch of people (altho some of you guys say rims and not wheels...
)
before i drove this s2k around i was a staunch euro dude. why? i really dont know. but anyway, i was able to drive an s2000 around for the summer, i still have it for another 2 weeks or so and man, im sold! love this thing
. and of course, my vw breaking down on me (of course!) this past week only made me drive the s even more. and fall even more hopelessly in love lol. anyway, so i talked to my friend who's been out of town for the summer, who's s im driving--errmmm taking care of--and he's been trying to sell it! and guess who's in front of that line to buy
. haha but i'll have to wait till my payments on the GTI are done, but till then (5 months) i'll be on here, getting my questions answered.
washed/waxed it a couple days ago, really sunny day so the pics look alittle washed out but im busy tonight fixing the gti (bent tie rod/torn cv boots
) so i cant wait for better lighting. but here're pics of the s2k and gti!
yes im sick of silver--especially when you're surrounded by silver while said silver is on jackstands.... so gonna paint that s2k when i get it lol.
ap1 sebring silver 2002 woot.

out with the old, in with the new

and my previous baby.... it must feel so unloved and neglected now

but im so sick of silver! white s2k's are teh hotn3ss1!!1one!!!eleventeen!!
haha and im sick of 'finely engineered' vw's too, ive had to work on my car for the past 3-4 days straight in the hot socal sun (i cant work on it at night since i have no lamps
) cuz i bent a tie rod and my strut bearings went out. which led to torn cv boots (my 6th time replacing them... had to replace axles twice already, 68k miles).
o and 2 winters ago my wheel bearing came apart while i was doing 70+ on the freeway. which threw my wheel off the hub, shredding the tire in my fender. had to replace the entire front driver side wheel assembly, then took it to the dealer to press a new bearing in and of course, they messed that up (they do more harm than good i swear) and ended up stripping my hub... something i found out AFTER my wheel came off again (stripped hub this time) while i was coming back from work. yeah i got a free hub install out of it but man it was frustrating. and a big waste of my life.
so cheers to better, less stressful days!
not to mention vw service/customer service is just poop.
and thanks for the
s!!
