Future S2000 Owner
Hi everyone,
I just registered on the forum but have been "ghosting" for a while. I've been doing a pile of reading on the s2000 for over a month and have, possibly, found a vehicle that is a good match for me. Looking forward to being part of the community and hopefully chiming in, once I own an S.
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but has anyone bought a car that is not local to them (more than 1000km away)? I live in Edmonton, AB, Canada and found a vehicle that I'm interested in, in Vancouver, BC, but don't really want to buy a plane ticket to see a car I'm not already 90% sure about. Are there businesses that I can hire to inspect a vehicle for me? The owner, for whatever reason, is a little reluctant to send me more photos/videos of his car. He seems to think I'm a scam artist, being from a different province. I was told to come look at the car myself or have somebody come look at it for me. I get where he's coming from, as I've been on the receiving end of similar scams, so no disrespect to him!
If I could find someone in the Vancouver/Richmond area, that has experience with S2000's and knows what to look for, I'd be very grateful for their help!
