Well i currently drive an 07 FG Civic Si and i am in the market for a Honda S2k...I have been reading the forums and basically the only question i have is whether i should trade in my Si for a new S2K or should i buy a used one...I have read that the main differences between the Ap1 and Ap2 is the 8K and 9k redline difference along with some minor exterior and interior differences...Have any of you had regrets of buying the Ap1 or Ap2 over the other?

 

There's been HUGE debates on s2ki about the merits of AP1 vs AP2.

Along with the engine and styling changes, wheels/tires, transmission and suspension have changed as well. To somebody familiar with one or the other, the differences between AP1 and AP2 are pretty significant. Coming from a Civic Si, you might not even notice. Drive them both and pick the one you like best.

 

Um, no, no regrets buying an AP2. See if you can test drive both rather than rely on hearsay. As Elistan points out, the AP1 versus AP2 discussion is at least as old as tha AP2 and without a definitive answer (because it's completely subjective).

No regrets buying a AP1. I come from driving a Prelude and buying the S2k was the best thing that happened in my life (in terms of cars of course).

 

Alright well im most likely going later today and testdriving an ap1 and ap2...hopefully i dont get harassed to try and purchase the CR...

 

I'm going to say you'll like the AP2, redline is similar to your Si.
