Can't help you with the carfax but I'll give you my $0.02 on the car. Price seems a bit high, I've seen several good examples of MY02s in the $15s. From the pics, car looks clean although I would pay special attention to the top and the tires. Both of these items are costly. Interior looks like it was a swap, as MY02 had either the all-black interior or the all-red interior (including dash, full door panels and hoops). This appears to be a hybrid, only seats, inserts and arm rest. Shift knob also does't look like oem, looks like a spoon.

I suggest you look for private party sales:

1. They normally are car enthusiasts, therefore they take care of the car better.

2. This might be overinflated but I'd say 70% of people who cannot sell their car through a private ad trade it in because the condition of the car.

3. From looking at the car above, it sure does look like it's been patched up with different parts from different sources.
