[QUOTE=stitos2k,Mar 18 2009, 07:09 AM]
Dude, I live a few miles from Monmouth High school near Hope Rd.

Anywho, I paid around 20k for my black 06 with 17k miles last week

I got to buy 3 new tires, for some reason the stealership replaced one but not the rest

OK so back to the OP, I think I'm feeling more comfortable with 19,800 as my initial offer. I hope its not too low for them to want to do the deal. Any more suggestions?

19,800 including TTL. Good Deal.

What kind of Good Years? Sometimes dealerships put inadequate tires on cars they sell. If they put cheap tires on, you may be out of pocket soon for new ones.

Precision does everything except alignments, they even have a awd dyno.

They are very popular with the subaru crowd, but they can work on anything. I've been going there 4-5 years.

Oh, if you go there don't let the waiting room fool you. It looks like a bomb went off and trashed the place, but the techs are very good.

That would be a great deal, but I was going to offer $19,800 for the car itself. Its an out-of-state purchase so tax would have to be paid afterward.
But lets say my deal was $19,800 OTD and that they traded it for $17,700. Taxes come out to about $1200, tags $55, 4 tires at dealer rate $600; that's $17,945, meaning they'd barely make $250 on the deal and I just don't see any way they'd do that.

I bought an 05, 7,000 miles excellent condition, for 18,000 out the door. They wanted $23,000.

Low Ball Low Ball!!!!!!!! What do have to lose???? I offered 18 and through negotiations I got it for that. They want to sell the car, and if they know your serious theyll take the offer serious

Just found out... Goodyear Eagle F1 (all season).
Truth be told, I would have replaced with OEM RE050's or possibly moved to the RE960AS (also an all season tire) if the car needed tires. But I think I have an argument here that the tires they installed will slightly degrade the performance over the RE050 summer tires, further justifying my offer of 19,800 (maybe now 19,500). What do you guys think?

Never hurts to ask.

Start low and make them "convince" you to pay more.
