Prolly shoulda done some google-foo before I replied, lol. Yeah after I wrote that I google it. D'oh!

I'm not saying car trackdays aren't legit, just a lot of $$ for a cheapo MC racer and maybe a lil' less 'balls out'(?) It may be hard to wrap my head around only straight-away passing and only after being waved... if I understand it correctly. But it is, for sure, the only place to test/learn a vehicles limits.

Also once you track a vehicle it is *hard* to keep it from being 'enhanced' with either improvements or worse, mistakes!

Once you progress, you pass when and where you want, without a point by.

I actually dive bomb the other S2000 in this video without a point by. The Porsche had to waive me by because I couldn't catch him in the straight when he moved over and stayed into it.

I'm sure my motorcycle would be cheaper, but I love tracking cars.

yamahaSHO - I clicked your car pic. Nice footage at RPM.
I actually took my car around there two seasons ago after an MC trackday.

My other (current and keeper) car is a beast. All 74hp and 3 cylinders. Here's a link to me lapping RPM, when it was called MAM, not quite like the other link I posted, lol and my first time around in a car.
It's pretty boring, though you can hear my Mirage's mudflaps ground/grind in just about every corner...

Haha, yeah you can hear the mud flaps!

I have a Honda CBR 600. It was given to me and has a bit of sentimental history with it.

Whoops I read that as 'not sure' - my bad. And wow, that Porsche 'parks it'! in 13.

Wanted to update - and confirm: went with 'Option 2.'

I am now a tremendously stoked owner of a 93k-mile AP1 that is bone-stock and an absolute hoot!

Picked it up in OKC yesterday, overnighted in south KS and rode it 250 miles this morning with the top down and temps below freezing. This car is as good or better than I imagined. I am totally stoked!
Starting to budget for new rear tires for the spring, lol.

I have a tradition of installing mudflaps on all by vehicles, born from my 1984 Volvo DIESEL which came with, and the tradition continues:

Nice clean engine too:

Also did the clutch free-play adjustment and fixed my rear wheel bearing 'tick,' it ticks no more! This forum is priceless.

not sure what's up with the pix... if you're curious:
