Unless it has exhaust and some other goodies, I'm sure it has stock gears. The only way you could tell as far as I know is if the car feels faster. The driveshaft would be spinning faster and it's a noticeable difference. I road in an S2000 with gears and it sounded no different.

Great color choice
Berlina

With my 4.57 gears I do 82 mph at 5000 rpm on OEM 16" wheels and S-02's.

Look underneath the dash for a Yellow Jacket or Yellow Box.
It should be used with "gears" to correct the speedo.
My Yellow Jacket looks like this:

(it's the blurry thing on the left with the dials.)

yeah i love the car. I got the car for 17000 with 33000 miles.

The car had a few mods I noticed first off the aem cold air, it looks also like it has an upgraded fuel rail. If feels like it has and aftermarket clucth and sounds like it at times, but it is hard for me to tell since this is the only s2000 i have ever driven. I will try to get some pics up today.

[QUOTE]Just for clarification - 6th gear at 5000 rpm = 82 mph.

You were in 6th gear, right?

That's OEM gears IMO.
(IOW, about 10.3% less then 4.57 and that is +/- 4.10 and thats OEM)
