Default Hello All!

I now have 1200 miles on my new stock 2008. I just hated to take advantage of the dealer in these tough times, but pulled the trigger on Halloween for $29k. This baby is sweet!

On a more somber note: I've noticed a faint burning oil odor after a spirited ride with much VTEC. Normal?

just wondering if you completed the correct break in procedure with a new s2ooo. i'm sure you don't hit redline in a brand new car until the official break in period is over. don't know what the mileage is on the s2ooo though...

Welcome to the site and congratulations on the purchase. Best wishes.
With this being a new vehicle, I would expect some of that, but it should be diminishing. Do you check your oil regularly?... I've heard of the cap coming loose and 'spraying' oil; it's been known to happen, but then again, I think you would have discovered that by now

Thanks, all!

Break in was to keep it below 5k RPM for the first 600 miles (1000km). Painful restraint.

Neck muscles are stronger since then, though.

Haven't had this much fun in a car since I drove an EV-1 from '97-'02. Unbeliveable straight line accel, but couldn't corner worth spit on its skinny tires.
For more info, see "Who Killed the Electric Car". Story of my life.

The S2k performs better, just too bad I gotta burn gas to do it. Oh well.
