Hello Everyone
Just stumbled on to this website. I bought a new S2K last year after test driving several different roadsters. The S2K seemed to offer the best combination of performance and value. I went for the black-on-black because I am a gluten for punishment when it comes to keeping a car clean. Looks cool in the shade though.
I still can't believe the acceleration and road-hugging ability. The first time I took it through the curvies at warp speed I couldn't believe the experience. My field of vision narrowed, the road stretched out in front of me, and the car leaped forward. The whine from the engine was pretty cool too. I did not expect that for a 4-cyl engine.
So I have been thinking about trading my 2007 for a 2008 CR. I like the spoiler--do you really think it works? The weight reduction from the A/C option is also something to consider--I have to have music though. I am considering trading every year or two until Honda stops producing the S2K because of the fun-factor.
Any comments on the CR series or where Honda may be taking the S2K concept? Personally, I think Honda found a niche with the S2K. None of the German roadsters I test drove came close--they had the brand name but felt heavy and not as manurervable. Same with Nisson and Saturn. Anyway, some thoughts on why I chose the Honda.
Hope everyone has as much fun as I do with their S2K ride : )

Welcome. Most of they guys that I know that have CRs love them, lots of stick in the corners, handles well, enough of a distinction between it and the regular S. The rear wing is functional and helps keep the rear end planted but this would really be noticable on a track, not so much on street. From what I've heard, its tough to get one w/o AC, as most of the ones brought in already have the AC option installed.
As to the future of the S, only the shadow knows. There is always speculation but remember, it is the internet. Here is the latest thread on this topic:

Good luck.
