Hello from Germany
Hello,
i want to introduce me:
My name is Christian, call me Chris. I am 47 Years old now and i live in Bavaria, Dachau / Munich to be exact.
I am "Fine-mechanic" by profession, so i do allmost all of the work on may cars and bikes by msyslf.
Since 5 years i was looking for a decent Honda S2000, problem is, that they dont sold much here in Germany, only 4,500 cars according to wikipedia. And that i dont like the Color red.
After 5 years of sarching, i finnaly found one: 58.000 km (36000 Miles), 2 Owners, dealer serviced. Beside the later wheels, complettly stock, even with the originel stereo. Silverstone metallic and black leather.
I am really happy now.
I allready changed Engine-, Gear,- and Differential Oil and cooling fluid, next are new brakes and Michelin tyres. Then i will just enjoy it.

Thank you all!
@hawkeyeGeoff: Du sprichst deutsch? Teurer als ein Porsche? It depends. I payed 21,500 € for it. Of course you can get a Porsche for this money, but only the small ones (Boxster, Cayman) with high mileage.
But i allways wanted a S2000.
The prices for the S2000 are climbing here in Germany. 6 Years ago you could buy a good S2000 for 16,000 Euro, meanwhille you dont get anny decent S2000 for less then 20,000 €.
Even some german car magazines, that ussualy praises german cars as the best one and dont like japanese cars, wrote about the S2000 as a future classic lately.

Great choice on the S2K though! I only asked because I used to work for Bosch. Many of my coworkers from Germany (Stuttgart) always stated how Porsches were very common and affordable over there. Of course many of them bought Corvettes while they lived here.

@ MarcusDubya77: Cool! Bring your S2000 with you and have fun here.
@ HawkeyeGeoff: Thanks for the welcome in German. Yes, german language can be a little bit demanding.
A good used porsche 911 starts at 40,000 € here. Thats not exactly what i call "Affordable". The Prices for the air cooled 911 are skyrocketing in a insane way.
But, yes, they are common here. Munich for example is one of the wealthiest citys in Germany, a lot of people with money, so new 911 are relly common here. Its a kind of "Dresscode" here for the Upperclass. If you want to show evrybody your succes, you buy a 911. Nothing else.
But neverthless we have on of the biggest US car dealers here in Munich. geigercars.de: GeigerCars.de
