Bye bye GTi, hello vtec!
Hello All,
I'm a 31 year old IT systems auditor and business process consultant, British but living in Athens (Greece) for the last 5 years!
I'm about to fulfil the first of one of my life landmarks, the purchase of a 'proper' sports car.
Day before yesterday I agreed a deal on an S2000, and now I'm just waiting for the current owner to give it up and take my money!
It's a COMPLETELY stock AP1 from 2002, Silverstone (or metallic anthracite for those not familiar with honda nomenclature). Here's the funny part though...
It has a bordeaux leather interior. It's definitely not the red interior stained bordeaux, it's original bordeaux leather, black dashboard. I haven't seen or heard of another with this colour leather on the seats. If anyone can tell me if this is normal, I'd be relieved to hear it. Maybe I have a special edition??
So, yeh, the 'Bye bye GTi' part... If you had asked me a few days ago, I'd have told you I'm a VW nut. My last 5 cars have all been polos or mk2 Golf GTis. Don't let that fool you into thinking I'm a front wheel driver, I used to race karts, but I always had a love for the old GTis.
Anyway, I've come over to the dark side now, and I'd be the first to say that while the Golf was always an exciting car to drive, the S is in a different league.
Looking forward to having many fun hours sharing thoughts with you guys, and if I remember correctly, the UK guys are taking a trip to the alps next year? Well, that's basically my back yard, being in Greece, so you can expect me to show up there too and join you guys on some of the most exciting roads in Europe!
Keep the top down and the revs up!!
PS. Special thanks to Andrew nuttal for the sick sig tool (I've been lurking on this board for several months, stalking you all
)
PPS... Lets get this out of the way first. I AM NOT FEMALE! Everyone sees 'Foxy' and thinks I'm a girl. My surname's Fox, it's my nickname.

From one IT person to another, welcome Aboard!
The seats must be custom. I never heard of them before, but please post up some Pictures asap so we can enjoy.
You Definately need a convertible in Greece, it would be a shame not too
You're living my dream, always wanted to visit/live in Greece. Such a beautiful country.
BTW: Silverstone is an awesome colour.

Thanks Olly! I had fears that there had been a terrible accident and there was a much more sinister reason my seats are blood coloured!!
I also agree it's the nicest match, the Silverstone with the bordeaux, slightly more conservative, but still great on the eyes!
