I bought my first Honda in June, and made it a 2009 S2K! Back in the 60s & 70s I had 2 Porsche 356s, and when I retired it was on my bucket list to get another. Then I had the opportunity to drive one, and was somewhat disappointed - as they say, don't go back. The memories (all good) still remain, but, this time around, I was underwhelmed by it's "smallness". A few months ago I started searching for what was available today in the "roadster" category. I was focused on "new" until my son suggested that I look at the S2K. After driving one, Bingo! As a retired chemical engineer, I love form-follows-function and KISS - ergo my decision years ago (led by my father, and followed by my brother and my 2 sons) to abandon American planned obsolescence in favor of Porsche. Maybe if Porsche made a FE 4 cyl, I'd consider it. For now, though, my quest for a FE-RD-4 cyl-convert is over.
