Why didn't you consider an EVO?

How much do you have to spend and what do you want to do with the car?

s2k>sti

evo>sti

i loved the s2k, just was not practical as a daily driver, was a garage queen for 4-5 months due to weather.

i suggest the evo over the sti as the handling is very close to the s2k, it is fun to drive , which was the case in the s2k

good luck

hmmm, your right never considered the EVO, i don't know much about them, anybod have a good link?

What i am looking for is

Yes daily driver but i'm not one to beat on a car, the one definate plus [and i laugh at all the guys sigs with the funny convertible cartoons] is the fact that it is convertible which is a definate plus in my books, i LOVE drivin my ma's corvette with the top down.

I really like the STI, my g/f hates them lol, but i like what they have to offer in terms of performance. Looks are meh imho, but performance non the less is great, and like you guys say we have all weather conditions up here [yes we have summer too ]

So i'll check out the EVO then, i hope you don't mean the mitsu' evolution that i see many of that look like the wheels are 10 sizes to small for the car and look like garbage, is there a new one coming out that i have missed? I've had car tunnel vision for a little while so i'm out of the loop.

Oh yeah and another key thing, if i buy one, it will be used, i will supercharge it and i have about a $40,000 Canadian limit for everything in the end.

This is exactly the help i was looking for , thanks so much

Caleb

do you live in canada, sti a no brainer. I have had many cars and if you have an s2k, imo, you will want another car. I love it on weekends, but over time with constant use you get tired of it. there are plenty of cars that are just as fun, quicker and fit the bill for a daily driver. I used to drive it a lot, but some of the novelty wore off as a daily driver, no question sti.
i meant to ask this to you, why would you say not to for a daily? you say it get's boring. False sense of performance? or the fun of it just wears off?

thanks

Yes, the Evo is the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. Sounds like you're describing the Mitsubishi Lancer, though. I drove the Evo and the STi back to back and chose an Evo as my daily driver. Performance on paper is virtually identical and both are easy to mod the hell out of for cheap. Both cars are Turbocharged....not sure how or why you'd want to supercharge them, too.

Here's mine: http://www.antifinite.com/sitebuilder/imag...078-250x116.jpg

The can thing on the back is so I could quiet it down enough for the 92db sound Nazis at Laguna Seca.

laws or undistributed? like could i come to the states and get one to bring back?

i was saying i'd supercharge a s2k if i got one. thanks for the info on the evo being close to sti, i'm looking into it more but can't find the laws for Can.

So basically to make things simple it's Sti vs S2000, i'll check out those threads too.
