Default Help needed in Germany.

Sup everyone.

I used to be a regular s2ki user back in the day. Regretfully, 9-5 reality caught up with me. However, I couldn't let my beautiful AP1 go (even when I had to move to Europe for work). I put her on a boat and jumped thru more legal hoops than I care to remember just to get my baby street legal here in Germany.

But, I'm ashamed to say that she has been languishing in a garage for nearly 5 years (despite my proximity to the Nürburgring), and to make matters worse, I lost my keys between multiple moves.

I tried getting a new set of keys coded over here but Honda insists that only Honda USA can provide the necessary keys/codes (I call BS on that), but anyway, I'm now in a position where I can't sell my car cuz I don't have keys and quite frankly I don't know what to do.

I'm hoping maybe someone in the community might be able to give me some advice, because I can't get myself to scrap her out (it just seems wrong on so many levels). I'm at wits end here. Any help and/or suggestions would be appreciated.

If you have all the original US papers, have you tried a US dealer to try to help you with this?

One of our members lives in Munchen and I will PM him with your info. You may have to wait 2 weeks after you join this forum before you can PM, not sure actually.

I have not acquired replacement keys from Honda so I am not sure how to do it. That being said, I will be happy to do what I can and FedEx the keys to you. I get a discount with FedEx as I am an airline (retired) guy. I have a feeling it will be a hundred or two to get everything.

Hooray. Found it.
Is it a 2.2 liter US modell? They where never sold here.

I also needed a spare key for mine. The procedure here was: The Honda dealer orderd the key from Honda. The master technican at the dealer told me that Honda germany cut the keys from blanks according to the VIN.
Then they send the key to the honda dealer wich do the programming at your vehicle. Done.

I would highly reccomend you to get in Contact with NISSAN MUKRA located in Freising. This is (Sadly) a former Honda dealer, but with top-notch technicans and still able to order all parts from Honda.
They have two extremly good master technicans, on of them is also owner of a Honda S2000. Give them a call and ask them. They maybe can find a solutuion.

Thanks for the info. I'll look into that ASAP. I tried going over Honda USA...but customer service was atrocious. Nobody had any idea what I was talking about.

Anyway, much appreciated.

Default Much appreciated, ppl!

I can't tell you how helpful ya'll have been. In fact, so much so that I will reveal my grand master plan. I intend on selling my S2k here in D-land, above market price (her guts are more comptech than honda (with a bit of spoon sprinkled in). But here's the thing, I need a Supra (2020) to catch an NSX, and in order to get aforementioned Supra (which is nearly entirely based on things I spent countless university hours in mech-engineering dept, instead of the classes I should have been attending, and countless more on Rockingham Speedway beefing up other people's rides instead of in the library "learning"...)

So, please bare with me...I will return to the fold victorious (from across the pond).

BTW, that was very useful information (about my AP1 variant not ever being sold here in Europe). Thanks for that bro!

Cheers.

I have not. Mainly because the time difference is totally shitty (6 hour -offset)....just to get put on hold, transferred, put on hold, transferred...ad nauseum...even my skype account ran out of 0.00x per minute credit eventually, used up by *not* getting thru to anyone who knew what they were talking about.
