Hey, Well...I guess I should do this.
Well, I've been a long time lurker of S2ki but I just recently acquired an AP1 so I figure it's about time to introduce myself. I am Froth, from K20a.org. Some people may have heard of me/know me around here but I doubt it. I come from the land of the K-series and I have had two past K-swaps, quick history on them...
K-swap number one K24/20 - Comptech S/C'd at 13psi (302whp/221wtq)
1993 Civic Si, my First Honda ever. Purchased from Original owner in NC.

That car, sadly was totaled. Which then lead to the following car the next year.
K-swap number two N/A K20 - All motor, 9000rpm (235whp/165wtq)
1994 CX Hatch.

That car I currently still own and is up for sale, It was my Daily Driver for a year and a boatload of fun at 2109lbs with driver. That leads me up to now, where two weeks ago I acquired my 2002 NFR.
I have always wanted an S2000, when I was 23 I got pre-approved for a loan on one but the insurance rates for full-coverage were through the roof($501 a month!) but that was to be somewhat expected as my driving record is 7 pages long. Fast-Forward two years until now, I hit 25 back in October and my insurance plummeted...time to think about an S2000. The S2000 I have now was meant to be in my opinion as about a month prior to picking this one up I drove 372 miles to Raleigh North Carolina to pick up a 2000 Silverstone that was sold within Hours of my arrival, the Dealership neglected to call me. To me this proved it was not meant to be and not to get discouraged, keep looking.
About a week later I called a local dealership to inquire about a 2002 NFR for $13,995...The conversation was short lived as I laughed at the salseman when he mentioned the price being non-negotiable. Four days later he called me back asking me what I would be willing to pay, I threw a price at him and to my surprise he didn't flinch in responding although he would need to clear it with the finance department, so he called me back in two hours. Price was accepted.
Two weeks ago, I drove 86 miles and one-state over to pick up this:

The first day I owned it I spent Four hours detailing it.
I have one million thoughts and ways to describe the S2000 experience...but I keep coming back to:
"I have never been so happy with a 100% stock car in my entire life"
Everything about it is perfect, it fits me well and the handling(even bone stock) is better than the Civics not to mention that it is infinitely quieter, more comfortable and more friendly to drive. I thought I'd have trouble parting with the civic but honestly, I haven't even sat in it since the day the S2000 came home.
I love it!

Pilot sport A/S, not my first choice but they came with the car. They were put on a week prior to me purchasing the vehicle, Carfax Certified/Verified Single owner vehicle and had a full service(Four tires/Alignment/Fluids) done at 85k, 1000 miles before I bought it.
I'm a mechanic for a Living and I used to work for one of the largest Tire suppliers in the US, so Tires are second nature to me.
