The full Japan story
Even before I went to Japan, I already decided on what car I wanted to buy. It had to be JDM only as I like exclusive things.
I found a Pearl White S2000 with hardtop which reminded me of the pictures that my dad showed of his S800 that he used to have when he was around my age.
This is it.
Now you say, a S2000 isn't JDM only. Correct, that is why I why I set my eyes on a Type-V, which have only been sold in Japan.
The car was sold by GTnet.co.jp which has dealers all throughout Japan.
So the second day after I arrived in Japan, I went to the closest dealer in Nagoya.
The car I wanted was located just north of Tokyo while I was based in Nagoya.
They could arrange transport to bring the car to the Nagoya dealership and two weeks after I bought the car, I could pick it up.
Never would I have thought that a car could steer this sharp at low speeds. The VGS is nice!
This picture was taken when I arrived home after picking up the vehicle.
The first weekend after I went for a long drive to explore the roads on the east of Nagoya.
Soon after, I went with some colleagues for some track time at YZ circuit - East course
The first modification I did was 3000k HID lights.
During the winterholidays my brother came to visit me in, so we went for a roadtrip.
We also had to pass through the mountains and snowy roads. Luckily they don't use much salt in Japan.
Good weather or not, you could often find me on the mountain roads.
One of my favorite places in Japan, the Sangane-san skyline.
I bought myself a 5Zigen Superlap exhaust. I like the look of it.
And it is pretty loud
In the evening in the harbour of Nagoya.
Then the magic moment of Sakura arrived.
I like this picture which highlights the sporty lines of the S2000.
This was taken at Lake Biwa in June.
This was taken during mid-summer at the seaside. It was a bit too hot to drive with roof down.

With the stock exhaust back on, I could enjoy the sound of VTEC again.
During the summer holidays I went by car to the big island called Shikoku. There was plenty of good scenery and driving time here as well.
And lots of nice places to stop on the way.
After the summer holidays, I felt like trying out plastidip for the wheels. I choose red, and I really liked the match with white body.
And I picked up a Spoon N1 exhaust as well.
It sounds awesome
Going out for nightshots
I had troubles with the car just once. 1 ignition coil failed. It sounded awesome though I quickly brought it to the dealer. Left some black marks above the exhaust.
The autumn colors are beautiful too!
This was certainly my best trip. Driving the roads near Mt. Fuji and Hakone.
And of course I had to drive the Hakone Turnpike
Lots of temples and shrines in Japan
And this is when it got picked up for shipment to Belgium.
Currently preparing the car for registration in Europe.
