The numbers - I bought it on 4/30 for $11k from a private seller.
In Georgia, we don't pay sales tax for private purchases (lucky huh?).
In 1.5 months of intense searching, I saw it right before my eyes, the s2k prices inflate like crazy on CL and AT. I guess good weather had a lot to do with it. There was no point waiting to find the perfect car, else I'd be waiting til late fall when the prices come down again.
Anyway, mine is in fantastic condition, bone stock, I'm the 3rd owner but the 2nd owner had it since 6000 miles. It's a bit higher mileage than preferred but the guy had all documentation for everything done to the car, all at the Honda dealer for every little thing. Looked at a few other cars but this one was a turnkey car that didn't need any major work anytime soon, I know the vehicle history, and my first choice color, black
A really good search tool I just recently discovered is searchtempest. It's really cool, check it out. Before discovering it, I was looking on CL looking at each city (very tedious).

Oh - one last thing... If you're shopping for one, get a quote on insurance BEFORE you buy this car and make sure you can afford it. My jaws dropped when my insurance turned out to be $1400/yr after I had bought the car. Just to put things in perspective, my mom drives an 04 Lexus ES330 (title is in my name, she's the secondary driver) and it's only $600/yr!!!
