BTW, in a little over a week of owning this car, I have gotten 4 ppl comment on it. 2 at a gas station, and this girl from an SUV across from me at a McDonalds drive thru (it has 2 lanes) said "hey I like your car" and this kid behind me at the same drive thru blurts out, "DUDE! I SO WANNA RACE YOU!!!" to which I responded "man, I'm too old for that crap!".

This has never happened before. What is going on with this car!

your point about insurance is correct, but it still sounds WAY cheap haha. I am paying 1700/yr for my 1990 miata! WTF!? ....thats what happens when you live in NJ though...

$1700/yr for a 90 Miata?????? Something just doesn't sound right. Miata MX-5s I thought were very cheap to insure. I'm 34, have a clean record, and with multiple car discount, I was very surprised to see my rates as $1400. I was paying $1800 on an Integra GSR but that was when I was under 25 and the rates came down drastically the older I got.

Gorgeous ride, lovin the black. Now you just need to get rid of the wheel gap

1700$ for a miata? I'm paying 1200/yr for my 06 s2k and I'm 24. I don't even have the 25yo discount yet (or is it 26 in CA? I forget). That seems quite extreme

I am 23 with a clean driving record. I have been thinking thats way out of line as well, but I am still with my parents policy while I finish school so it isnt my decision to switch. NJ is also the highest insurance rates in the country..
