Thanks for the suggestion on the tires. I'll definitely look into those. It turned out that the tires on it were practically brand new so I decided I would just keep them for this summer and then look at getting different tires later.
However, reading all the stories about people spinning their AP1's has me thinking about switching out the rear sway bar for one from an AP2. I drive within reason on streets but eventually want to do a performance driving school and some track days with it. According to the OE Suspension Springs thread here at S2K, my 03 should have 300 front sway bar and 396 rear sway bar. So, if go to a 311 rear sway bar from an AP2, that should tone down the rear a little. Although I'm not overly concerned about it at this point.
I've been having a blast driving the car but did feel the car was a little twitchy. So after much research, I decided to order the Godspeed front sway bar for my car. It was only $69.95 on Amazon and included shipping! When received it, it was obvious that it's beefier and heavier than the stock sway bar.
So, as some friends and I were getting the stock sway bar off, we discovered one reason why my car was feeling twitchy. The sway bar was disconnected on the passenger side lower control arm! No wonder!
Anyway, we took the old one out and replaced it with the beefier Godspeed. Now my car feels much more stable. In tight and fast corners I don't feel as though I've lost much in overall steering yet it feels nicely planted. I would recommend this sway bar as a very inexpensive upgrade!
