You should perform a SEARCH. This is only the most commonly asked question ever in the history of s2ki.com. Better yet- just scroll down in this same group of threads. This topic has been beaten to death more times than the sun has risen.
After that, you should review your usage of commas. Ever heard of a comma splice?
If I came across a little irritated it's because I am...

test drive them both first. then decide which one is more to your liking and will suit your driving needs

other than that, both are pretty much the same thing. prices for parts for both cars will be the same or around the same price

the only thing i see that can benefit you from buying an older ap1 is that you have money left over (if you have cash in hand) to put mods on rather than spending a little bit more for an ap2

To answer your question really quickly, the AP2 "conversion" if you are just talking about the headlight/taillight and front/rear bumpers, is going to be about $1500-2000. The bumpers you could find, maybe in the same color AP1 you buy, for about 200-300 each.

It's the headlight/taillights that will cost you the most at about 500/pair each of front and rears ($1k~ total), and this is without the HID ballasts.

Get the AP1 since it is less $$$ and then mod it.

I'd say go with the Ap2 since you like the looks, after testing driving both of course. You'll eventually have the money for the mods, but if you got the Ap1 and didn't like the looks as much, then now, you have to do the conversion mod as well as the other mods. The problem with the conversion process is that, it doesn't fit perfectly, you'll have to drill, cut steel beams, etc etc. Why not just start out with the car you like and mod it later when you have the cash.
