How much can I talk down a dealer?
Looking to get back into another s2000 in the next few weeks. There are a few in my area which I'm interested in, but wondering how other people are doing with talking down dealers on s2000's right now.
A few examples I'm looking at, not sure what offers to make
#1. 2005 BB 59k miles, asking $15900. This is from a small dealership. Few blocks from my apartment, it's been on their lot for 6+ months.
#2.2004 Suzuka, 61k miles, asking $15.6k. From a large VW dealership.
#. 2005 Silverstone, 29k miles, asking $17.9k. Smaller dealership.
Assuming they are all in good condition with no problems, how much do you think I could talk the dealer down on each? Also, I am putting $5000 down and financing the rest.
Thanks for any input.

Go for the first one...it's cheapest and it's been on their lot a while. They'll most likely tell you how they get all of these inquiries on it daily and blah blah blah...it's all bs. They've obviously discounted it a lot already, so I would work on getting them to $15000 OTD and see how it goes. GL
