How much Pricing Power can you have
I'm going to buy my S2K this week or next!
my question is how much pricing power will I have when buying the car from a dealer that has to locate and ship the car in the color I want?
I've scaned all of the website invintories of the "local" dealers (with in 60 Miles)
and from what I can find no dealer has the color I'd like.
One dealership mentioned over email that they could locate the car for me within a week or so.
Would they charge me extra to get the car shipped to them?
I've always had the best luck walking in and buying off thier lot.
I would always find a dealer that had what I want in stock and take from their inventory.
What have you done?
whats the best way to find either a Silverstone/blk or GP white/blk in the New York City area...NY/NJ/CT
Thanks!

Most dealers will give you a lower price with a model they have available immediately, as you mentioned. When I was looking for mine (not really a good gauge, since that was 4 years ago), it was around this time of year and I ended up paying $1,400 more for the color I wanted (Suzuka) than for a Spa yellow which was available right then.
I can't advise you about where to buy in the area, but I bought mine at Brewster Honda from the internet sales manager. I still think that's the best way to go with most of these places, unless you like wheeling/dealing with folks who have no understanding of your S.
