Default I want opinions on AP1 and AP2

so I'm in the market for a S2000, and am selling my FD.... But I'm trying to decide whether to buy an AP1 for cheaper of get something a little newer and get the AP2. I like the look of both, and so far the changes to the AP2 seem to be pluses. I've read stuff on here about the differences but I can't really seem to find people saying anything about whether they like one more than another. I do drive a lot of back roads, but this will be a daily driver among taking me on occasion on longer trips......

I'm going to test drive an AP2 tomorrow and see...

but please is there something I'm missing.... To be honest price appeals to me on the ap1, but the ap2's will be newer and less wear.....

You cant find anything about anyone saying they like one more than the other?

There are no less than a hundred topics, multiple pages long, that discuss just that.

Search, man. Search.

Wow, this has to be the worst case of not searching I've ever seen. 4 lines down from this, there is a SIX PAGE topic answering your question 100 times over. Somebody needs to sticky a list of differences so that people stop asking this question every 3 days.

i bought my 02 with 15k miles. looks brand new. not a single ding or rock chip when I picked it up, so ap2s being newer and less wear is not always the case.

... BUT if you can't bring yourself to search, here's the answer: if you don't want to be bothered with a built-in clock, then ap1 MY00. Other than that, get the cleanest one you can find and in the end it won't matter all that much.
