Im In Love.....
Hello every one, My name is David and want to tell my s2k story.
Well, I just got back from Iraq, on my off time in Iraq, I often pondered on what car I would get on my return home. I spent most of my free time on forums, looking for the perfect car for my self. First it was the srt-4, then the evo, then the s2k, by the time I was coming home I thought for sure I would get the sti. But I told my self I would not make a rash decision, so I test drove the cars I wanted. I first test drove the srt-4, it was cool but look cheap on the inside. Then I test drove the s2k, the car felt amazing, the looks were cunning, and the power was exhilarating. Going back on my pervious statement, I made a rash decision. I bought a 2002 honda s2000, with an AeM v2 intake, 2005 conversion kit with hids for 20k, it has 18k miles on it. My first day driving the car I am convinced that I made the right decision. I live in San Diego and see tons of evo's and sti's, but they just dont have the same appeal or quality that the S has, in my opinion. I'm looking forward to becoming an avid member of this forum, and hopfully gain knowledge about the car I already love.
P.S can some one tell me where the gas cap lever is I can't find it thank you.

Check this section of the forums, in the SoCal forum there is a San Diego subforum. Great people, very active.

The gas door lever is in the drivers side doorjam. Open the door and about where your left elbow is you should find the door opener, you have to pull on it.
Hope to see you on some of the runs and meets,
Patrick
Welcome David
What colour did you get?
Your question about the gas cap lever sounds very familiar to me.
When I picked my car up for the first time I had to drive home in the dark.
With only half a tank of gas I had to get some fuel.
And there I was, how to open the gas cap?
Got out the manual, looked and looked again.....
Took me a while to find it.
(it felt like an hour, with ppl staring at me, it probably was only 2 minutes or so).
And the gas cap itself will screw-fit on the inside of the cover so you don't have to leave it hanging by the nylon strap and damage the side.

the color of the car is silver. I wish my car came with the manual, but I would have not thought about that either. Like you, people were looking down my back, so I said ill wait until the day to figure it out. Yea I cant wait to go to a car meeting and check every ones car out.

You may want to check in the secret compartment to see if the manual is in there. Oftentimes it is. To save you some time, you access it by opening the console between the seats and lift straight up on the top part. There's a trunk release in the console as well.
