Thanks!!! My real name is Nick, pleasure to meet you!!

I've actually already read through that thread 3 or 4 times...LOL. I researched s2000's for 6 months before I finally found one that was proper. That autox setup thread is excellent, along with the others showing race-by-race setup adjustments. I've already got my entire 2009 setup planned as far as a swaybar, tires, and alignment settings go. For the rest of this year I'll probably just leave it 100% stock and learn the car that way. If all goes well, I'd like to go to Topeka next year and have a go at it!

Howdy everyone,

Not an S2k owner but I love 'em. Two of my friends own them and I absolutely love driving them, especially top down. I actually own a 2004 E46 M3 but I'm looking to sell it and pick up a used S2k since I can't afford the upkeep on it. Wish me luck everyone!

Hey everyone..Im Paul..from Nashville.
I've had three cars throughout my driving career.
When I was 16 I bought a Supra turbo 92..it was a lemon..haha.
Then i bought a Supra NA 90..and slid out and wrecked it.
Finally I'm driving 300zx NA 90 amd i enjoy it a lot.
But it's time to get something new
So I'm decided in getting either another Z(350z)..or an S2K
I love looking at them and riding in them but i don't know much about s2ks so maybe i will become enlightened on this sight.

Hey guys I just bought a 2001 Berlina with a black interior! It's such a sexy car. I pick it up tomorrow and I can't wait to get in and have fun. I've already been doing research on the forums, but I figured its time to join! I already ordered a Gracer front lip and I'm looking at wheels. I wanna get black 17's with a red lip. I think I'm getting some Kosei's and having them sprayed.

It's so exciting to be a part of the S2000 family now.

Oh yeah and I wanna get into some auto crossing before the summer ends. Should I just talk to the North Texas group about that? (I live in Irving, TX btw)

Way back when, like I mean wayyyyy back when, I left my sporty car roots and started tinkering with Grand Nationals. I've had four of those beasts (counting the 89 TTA) and, they were fun and a hoot to drive as long as the road was straight and you weren't in a big hurry to stop. In late 1999 I heard Honda was coming out with a "sports car" and, from the day I saw it I knew I had to have one. About two weeks ago a Grand National freak heard my car was on the market becuase I was going to buy an ISF. The guy showed up at my house with a big wad of money... bye bye turbo Buick. After being insulted by every Lexus dealer in Florida in my quest to purchase the F car a little light came on in my head. (It happens sometimes when I don't hear those voices.) Why not keep that perfectly good IS350, pay it off, and use the left over greenies to pick up an S2000. I did, and I am glad I did. I'm pretty sure I would qualify for one of the senior citizens on this forum (any other Q-Tips out there?) and I doubt that I fall into the demographics of a typical S2000 buyer but I've always marched to the tune of a different drummer, hell sometimes I don't even hear the band... but I know what all of you know... these are fine little cars in every respect. Picked up a new Laguna Blue car over in Tampa last week... it was well worth the drive from Central Florida... got the perfect car (you don't see too many Laguna blue ones, no?) Got a killer deal and couldn't be happier. I'm now enduring the tideous break in period and playing it by the book. I will no doubt be bugging you folks with all of the newbie questions like how many miles before swtiching to Syn-oil (Amzoil) what's out there to keep that rag top in good shape, etc... written way too many words to simply say howdy and let you all know how much I appreciated this forum when I was researching and learning about what was new in S2K world... I walked away from years of go-kart racing, a little bit of SCCA, and a bunch of autocrossing to join the dark side and get into point and shoot, straight line cars... man, I forgot what I was missing. I've owned a gaggle of MBG's, Midgets, Sprites, and even a broken down Porsche... the S2000 is 'da bomb! Thanks for listening.
welcome to the forums Jim . The reccomendation to switch to synthetic is after the 2nd oil change per honda . use the 10 weight oil and keep a quart in the trunk . The car will use about 2 qts before the first oil change . ENJOY .
