4 months away from getting an 08 model. Tons of questions though:
1. This would be my only car. Is that possible? Or is this thing not an everyday car?
2. How is this car in the rain?
3. What are some maint. issues that I should be aware of?
4. I live in a condo community and have no garage. Is this a car that is easliy stolen?
Ever since I first saw an s2k in 1999 at the NY Auto show, I knew I would get one...one day. My lease on my A4 matures late summer, this is when I plan on getting it.
Any information you guys can give me would be much appreciated.

Im Dan, 22 Male from Lightwater ( near Ascot )
I just picked up my first S2000 this evening, Black Body and Interior and I love it. i looked at Z4 / MX5 / Kompressor and nothing even came close to the S2000 the second I got in it I forgot all about the other cars.
As soon as I finished the test drive I went to the bank and paid cash, And here I am

Hi everyone!
I've had my s2000 for about a year now... been checking out the site a couple weeks, so I figured I'd introduce myself.
I absolutely LOVE my car! After having a beater '94 Accord through college I finally got my S. I've always wanted a convert, something quick, and I love Honda, so the s2000 just made sense. After my 1st test drive I was hooked!
Mine is a 2001 Silverstone/Black interior, has a Mugen exhuast, and currently has about 57,000 miles on it. (and I still have my beater). Just checking out this site I've aleady learned a bunch of stuff about it, like how the seats can easily be taken out... during a long detail session I'm sure this would have been useful! And YES, I know about the secret compartment, although had my boyfriend not pointed it out, I probably would have been oblivious.
I'm not a huge gearhead or anything... I know how to change the oil! but do want to learn more about these wonderful cars, so I figured this would be the place to come.
I live in chester county, pa, and am always seeing s2000's around the area. Jay2000, I believe I bought those rims off you? btw the CR rims look nice!
