Hello all!

New S2K owner here, 2005 NFR with 53000 miles on it for ~$15K.

I have had it just over a week and am loving it (10/21/09). Traded in my 2008 Acura TSX for it. I have always wanted an S2K and decided to grab one while they are still available (previous RSX-Type S owner and Honda Accord owner as well; wife drives a 2009 Honda Pilot RES).

I got mine in pretty good condition - Honda is replacing the front air dam/bumper (due to nicks, scratches and chips) and is reconditioning the rims (chips and scratches). They are also replacing the shift knob (previous driver left ring marks and scratches all over it) and are going to fix a few minor rattles (the convertible top and center console).

When all is said and done, it will be almost like new. The previous owner just had the rotors resurfaced, new tires put on (BF Goodrich g-Force Sports, stock size), and the convertible top looks almost new as well. I was also able to get a special deal (hookup with my dealer since I have been a long time customer of theirs) on an extended warranty up to 100,000 miles. It is a certified Honda sale, but the extra peace of mind with a bumper to bumper warranty is nice, especially since this is my first used car (all other cars have been new leases).

I plan on doing a HU swap within the next week (hopefully this weekend, depending on if they can get the fixes done tomorrow and Saturday) and a possible speaker upgrade in a few months. I've decided on the Alpine iDA-x303 HU (I will do the Modifry DCI mod later on if I feel the need for the dash controls back). I also plan on protecting the top with either 303 or Raggtopp over the next few days as well.

I have really enjoyed driving it as my daily driver (not a long commute where I live) and even my wife is enjoying it!

There's alot of information on these boards to go over, so I better get started!!

I am just finding this forum and am excited to get to know other S2K owners in the local DFW area. I finally got mine in June 2009 and this car is always so much fun to drive! I am glad my wife made me wait until I found the specific one I was looking for because I was so ready to settle on a color or mileage that was not within my requirements. Patience paid off...found the color I wanted (Grand Prix White), it was an 06 with only 11K miles on it (still under factory warranty), came with a fully transferable 8 year 100K mile warranty, and still smelled new. I can't wait to get to know you other S2K owners in the area and participate in some drives with ya!

Hi all - happy to have found this site! a fellow S2K owner here in the Seattle area tipped me off this week, and is introducing me to the community. So here's the sad part of the story - we met up because my recently purchased S2K was gutted like a fish - and of course, the seats are gone. he recommended joining so that i could access car seat locks. so - any thoughts on how i can get a set ...? also a tip for you all - if you ever want to take a great car trip (requires a little planning) - Vancouver Island, British Columbia. The ride from Sydney to Tofino is a 3-4 hour blast.

hello everyone,

My name is Lukasz, i come from Poland. I own 2007 deep burgundy beauty (Im gonna post some pics of her later on). I also run an s2000.eu honda s2k club of Poland.

I consider making some mods for my s2k, so far I have made some soft changes - put k&n aircharger, invidia q300 exhaust. 3 braces (NRG front xbrace, rear bottom and middle bottom) + lowering coilovers are waiting in my garage to go fit.

I greet you all and looking forward to being more active member from now on (I have been visiting your forum as a silent reader so far),

ElJay

Hi

I am a new S2000 owner, a 07 model with 20 k on the clock, had it myself 4 months.

having had it for a bit I decided to get some performance driving tuition, from cadence.

This is where it went a bit pear shaped - with the milbrook section of the day. 5-minutes in and a couple of circuits of the steering bowel, about 8k rpm in second, I spun off - again, and the emissions light came on.

We aborted the milbrook session, headed for bedford honda, who reset the electronics, said nothing wrong, but did note an overspeed indicator. (asked if we had been going fast!!!).

During my brief session on the steering bowel I noticed a slight smell of sulphides, something I had noticed once or twice on start up.

Does anyone have any clues what the problem may be, if indeed there is one, and will it happen again if I rebook my Milbrook session

Thanks

regards

Kipper 12
