Introduce yourself here!
i was hoping there'd be an area like this for introductions...
So yeah, I dont own an s2000...yet, but im pretty much hell bent on getting one soon after im done with my schoolin' here at Rutgers...if the NJ insurance doesnt kill me. There is pretty much no other car that appeals to me like the s2000 I mean the Evo and STi are nice, fast cars but they just look...tacky. Forget anything domestic overweight and poor build quality if you ask me. I like lightweight, nimble cars...so really the only vehicles that do it for me are the 2nd and 3rd gen Rx-7s and the s2000 (perhaps the occasional mkII mr2) and since i'll be needing a daily driver honda is the only way to go I could probably maintain the rotory but i see it as more of a case as an Rx7 WILL eventually breakdown whereas the honda just keeps humming along.
Ideally, I'd like an MY02-03 in Berlina Black or SBM so to those of you here who have them...keep them in good shape for the next 3 or so years and ill buy it off you for a decent price...hopefully.
I currently drive a 95 civic coupe that ive been working on since i got my license (there are some pics of her in the FI forum) ...right now its making 260hp 200tq from a turboed b16/b20 engine controlled by an AEM EMS...so i think i could give some of you guys a run for your money
... I'm really into the car tho so i dont abuse her much and i plan on keeping her as long as im around. I'm pretty much honda for life. Just like my dad is Ford for life (you can imagine the arguments we get into) he's a car guy too n he has a few classic cars in our garage that hes had since the 70's and he takes meticulous care of them (read: never driven) so i guess thats where i got my appreication and love for cars from.
Well, thats about it

Greetings from the darkside. I am formally a comitted 4x4 enthusiast with a dedicated rockcrawler Jeep sitting in my garage and a board that I help moderate. I felt the need for speed so.........
I picked up an 05 in Sebring Silver metallic last night. 17 miles on the clock and sitting on the showroom floor....it was calling my name
How do I enable images in my posts?

Hello and welcome! Where you from? I believe you can post images, as long as you host the pics on a site. Once you have the url where the picture is hosted, just take the address and add [IMG] tags like this:
[*IMG*]www.yourpictureaddresshere.com[*/URL*]
Just make sure to take out the asterisks.

Welcome, Tony. I remember the feeling of lusting after the car. My best wishes as you pursue it! Turns out that the S doesn't need any pampering, just a few things to keep your eye on. The car does demand some respect (by its owner, I mean), and I'm sad to say that a lot of folks forget that sometimes and damage their babies... Let that not be you!

Hope to see you as an owner soon.

Congrats, jeep guy, and welcome aboard!!
Johnny's post is accurate, but if you need/like some server space to host your pictures, consider an s2ki.com membership (and see the membership benefit thread at the top of our Introductions page).
Best wishes.

cool- welcome!!
i sold my '86 cj to get my s2000, so i know where you are coming from!
cant tell where you are, but my fav area was anza borrego- some really fun climbing and exploring there.
i know its a bit strange- jeep to s2000... it was the topless factor that made them similar, and the need for speed that caused the switch (like you).
a friend bought my cj (for what i paid for it)- it was great fun... drove it almost all the time top and doors off. had that baby chromed out- lotsa great memories.
if i had room, i would still have that jeep. who knows what the future holds!
