Introduce yourself here!
Hey guys/gals,
I'm a long time reader of s2ki.com and a first time poster. I know I'm probably going to get alot of slack, but here is my story... I wanted an S2000 very badly a few year ago, but had limited funds. I worked part time for an autobody shop and I did alot of searching. I came across a few really destroyed S2000's and at the time, they were going for $15K and up. I found a 2000 in Brooklyn that was $9K with 18,000 miles on it which was in really good shape, but was missing alot of the front end pieces, rims, airbags, headlights, among other parts. I bought it figuring I would rebuild, repaint and have a really great car, without the big pricetag of a new one. The drawback was the salvage title, but at the time I figured I was going to keep it, so it didn't matter to me. The frame was straight, alignment was perfect, my brother donated his old 17" ADR Sokudo's and I was set. So I had the car painted and put back together, some aftermarket parts, and the car is pretty solid. Still needs a few things here and there, but for the most part it has been great. I have alot of plans for it, including a new top with glass window, new exhaust, and possibly new rims/tires. Only has 22, 500 miles on it now, and in a week or two will become my daily driver. It turned out that I could've gotten a used car with a clean title for alot less than I paid after all was said and done, but live and learn. It has been a financially horrible mistake, but I love the car and now I have emotional attachment to it because I know what it had gone through to get back on the road. As Rob Zombie says, she's my Living Dead Girl! So I hope you'll go easy on me, I know the salvage title situation has not been easy for me, or the rebuilding. But I have an S2000 that runs awesome and I hope to meet alot of you soon. Take care and I look forward to hearing from you.

Don't talk to me about rain!
So happy for you though. Congrats, and enjoy your black baby.
FYI, black is quite challenging to keep in great shape. Spend some time, Max, in the wash and wax forum to get up-to-speed in maintenance.
Best wishes. And congrats!!!!
