I picked up my '04 S2000 from a member here so thought I would introduce myself. I'll be spending most of my time in the Racing and Competition section as I prep this car for STR class. Looking forward to meeting other members in my area!

Hello Everyone! After some crazy Account trouble I am back again. a quick intro, I have a pretty heavy background in the S2000 performance market. for the past 10 years I have been Building Motors and Tuning S2000's for a few well known Companies. A little over a year ago a good customer turned friend offered to sell me his S and I was happy to welcome back one of the first few cars I worked on. After a little freshening up it was good to go. The car is an 03 GPW with Tan interior and the original Comptech Super Charger on it. I am looking forward to this years Dragon trip as it will be the first time all my old friends in Tampa and I will be cutting the corners like a 2006 reunion or something. lol

Completely stock aside from these gold rims
New soft top and new tires
120k kms

I sold my fd rx7 a few weeks ago. NO ragrats moving into a s2k from the fd. I've had 17 vehicles and this is by far my favorite.Will be making a build thread once I start modifying. Just enjoying driving it for now
A few questions then onto some pics.
Does the 1999 JDM model have a key fob and an Imobilizer? The car only came with one key, no key fob or anything. I want a key fob so I dont need to manually lock/unlock
I have more questions but cant think of any right now

 

Hi i am looking to purchase a 2003 S2000 a guy wants to trade for my stock 1991 MR2 Turbo with 150k for his 2003 S2000 that has branded title from the seats, steering wheel and dash cluster being stolen, it also has "a bad seal on the 4th cylinder" that he says the engine needs to be rebuilt. He said it was a common problem on this year model. I was wondering if this sounds like a big mess or if it really is as simple as getting the engine rebuilt or buying a used engine. I would love to own an s2000 but i would be giving up $4000 offers for my MR2. He has replaced the seats dash cluster and the stearing wheel. sounds like it just needs engine any help or advice would be awesome thank you
