Introduce yourself here! Part II
Sorry for replying late, i'm busy with college
, but I called the person who sold me the car and claims that he did not alter anything, he claims the car already had around 120k miles when he bought it on the odometer. I bought it at 130k miles but carfax states the car has over 300k miles. So, he's either lying to me or he had no clue about the cars history. When I registered the car I told the DMV the car had 130k miles and they didn't have a problem but the fact carfax claims the car has over 300k concerns me.

The car looks nice from what I can see in the picture, I think you got a good deal anyway...That's a very low price for a clean S2K. Maybe CarFax has some bad info...It just seems weird the car has over 300K miles...Especially seeing the seats aren't worn...Seats, brake, clutch pedals, steering wheel, shift knob, rocked door scuff panels and carpet wear, are always a quick indicator of high mileage. I wonder if there's anyway to check or correct the CarFax data?.....The bad info is not a problem...until you go to sell the the car! ....Got anymore pictures of the car?
I bought my S2K 3 years ago, Laguna Blue 2007 with 72K. I flew up to DC to check the car out. CarFax had a very detailed list of maintenance, 2 previous owners, as well as 2 accidents, both right front fender, no airbag deployment. I put the car up in the air to check for any damage/repair, couldn't see any signs of repair work, just the missing Vin tags on the hood, front bumper, and front fenders. A new right side headlight....and the car was repainted....nicely. The car was just about mint in and out, obvious the previous owners had loved the car. I had looked at and test driven a few other S2K's....you can tell when a car hasn't been 'Loved'!..... I paid 18K to the dealer, drove it home to Florida. The two accidents was a concern, but a hard to find color like Laguna Blue, under 100K, no accident car in Florida, at that time was selling for 23-26K. I've had no problems with the car, drive it every day, and I've been over every inch of the car now, and haven't encountered any issues, just minor maintenance. When you have tight budget, compromise is necessary!! But, It turned out to be the best car I've ever owned....Thank you Shigeru Uehara for designing and putting your heart into this car...it shows!!
