That's bonkers! I'm suprised those tyres still have grip and the rubber hasn't hardened after all those years. The S2K looks in mint condition!

Surprisingly they are pretty soft and have no cracks. He mentioned never driving the car in the rain and always having the cover on while the car was garaged. Other than a couple of dings in the fender that I already had taken care of the car is pretty mint.

Hey there! My name is Rob. I picked this AP1 up last Feb. This was days before I got it. She doesn't look too different right now. I still need to buy some wheels, but I am currently learning how to track her through NASASE so I need to use those tires up first. I had been wanting an S2k since I was a kid and rode in my uncle's AP1! He had a Rio Yellow car. I am currently trying to track it down. Last known location was Birmingham, AL.

I love the hardtop, and the clear corners! How easy is it to take the hardtop on and off?

Hi all
Finally got my S2000 (2001 AP1, Yellow/Black) from the original owner since new. Wanted this particular car for nearly ten years, and the owner finally needed to move it to a new home as she could not safely drive it any more.

The good: Bought it from the original owner, drivetrain is very well kept up. Never tracked, raced, for probably even hard launched. Literally the little old lady IRL. Owner was a friends mom. Semi fresh new soft top. Zero mods, other than XM radio into the stock stereo. No codes. Everything works. Air blows cold, heat hot.

The bad: Outside parked, under trees its whole life. DD most of its life until this year (120k miles). Dings and chips aplenty. Driver seat needs repair (big duct tap repair on the seating area, left bolster is smashed. OEM speaker rattles badly at any volume above quiet. Alloys are pretty beat up and dirty in a way that washing did not resolve. Was in a minor accident this year (some hit in in the side, professionally repaired at a good body shop). Already had its first serious cleaning.
