Hi guys!

I'm Gew, currently situated (due to work) in Europe (albeit originally from another part of the globe).
I just laid hands on a 2005 S2000 in pretty bad condition, but I'll work on it and it will become really nice (I hope).

Thanks for having me onboard!

hey folks,

just recently was able to pick up an S in my favorite color/spec.stock power, but a ton of track focus mods already installed.
i will be tracking it as much as i can next season down @ Ridge Motorsports Park in WA. in its current form, i'm hoping for something around a 1:53 or lower. i think the car can do a 1:52 in the hands of someone very capable. i'm coming from tracking my FK8 CTR but i'm very excited to learn and slowly master driving the S, which is a much more pure driving experience.

was wondering a few things:
1) i am interested in getting a billman TCT but it seems like i can't do any DMs yet -- is this time or post limited for new users?
2) what other parts (specific to the S) for track cars will need to be kept an eye on for replacement? cheers!

looking forward to being part of the community as well -- no plans to ever sell this car (unless i can get a CR somehow).

Hey all,
I sold both my 91 Civic Si and CRX Si after rebuilding them to OEM, then told myself to never get back into the Honda game.....
And now I have an s2000 I just cashed out on... LOL.
Well I'm back into Hondas and actually it feels like home. This time with a better car for myself.
Hope to make some connections in this community, I'll be in NorCal but originally from Seattle, WA.
2002 Honda S2000 with Ap2 front/rear bumper and lights. 180k miles (oof)
Black on Black.
Ill be at Wekfest San Jose, hopefully can meet some s2k owners to talk about wheel fitment.

I realize this is a general thread, not specific to track cars... and it's lengthy! https://www.s2ki.com/forums/s2000-ta...-s2000-775801/

Hello from Ontario Canada!
Just bought my first ever s2000 (MY2003) in sebring silver about 2 weeks ago with 74k miles (119k kms).

Over the winter storage I plan on to:
- Fixing the soft top sag - I already ordered the Modifry straps
- Possibly install a new headunit. I do want to maintain the oem look as much as possible but it sucks not having bluetooth or at the very least, an aux port.
- I really do like the ap2 and CR radio cover door, I think it'll add a nice touch to the interior while maintaining a clean OEM look

Once spring hits:
- change all the fluids
- get the valves and retainers inspected

Default Heya from the Bay Area!

Nice to meet you all! I was in need of a second car as a daily driver and wanted something that was still fun. I looked into miatas at first, but given how ridiculous some of the used Miata prices are, I also started seeing S2000s pop up among my searches. Decided to go for an S2000 instead and managed to pick one up two weeks ago!

She’s an AP1 with 141k on the odo. The pre purchase inspection brought back solid compression numbers and after some maintenance and new tires, this is probably the best car I’ve ever driven. The transmission is incredible and I’m beginning to see why people love vtec so much! Haha. Though it’s only been two weeks, I can tell this is a car I’m never going to sell.

Congratulations! I always say, "there are two kinds of cars, red and all the rest." Mine is an '05 AP2, also red.

I think the VTEC is pretty cool. The car can be driven like my mother's civic under 4k, which my girlfriend does and then I spin it up for fun every now and then. I take people for rides and when that second VTEC kicks in at 6, it feels like we're shot out of a cannon and their eyes get big.

And agreed, I think the transmission is one of the best parts. I've had so many conventional Honda's where the shift linkage bushings get sloppy over time and they're not very precise but this thing is like a swiss watch.

Enjoy!

Haha. I like that quote about red cars! I used to have a red 2012 BRZ a while back so I'm happy to be in another red sports car.
