Introduce yourself here! Part II
Greetings from Australia everyone. I'm a proud owner of a 1999 Silverstone AP1. Mainly made this account so I can message Billman about buying one of his famous TCTs. Cheers!
Picked up my first S2000, 2004 Silverstone with 85k about a month ago.
Anyways my timing chain tensioner just started making noise and i'm trying to get in contact with Billman to purchase his replacement. As a new forum member it appears I cannot message anyone for 14 days? Or maybe i'm doing something wrong... does anyone know how to contact him outside of this forum?
Thanks

Hello. I kinda introduced myself here:
https://www.s2ki.com/forums/s2000-bo...chase-1186537/
but I had a couple of questions, and I didn't want to wait the 2 weeks for PM to be enabled.
I've been wanting an S2k for about 10 years, and God has been good to me, so I can now do it. I joined S2KI to learn more about the car. I loved the body style the moment I first laid eyes on it, but I had no idea about the stock performance. I test drove one, and I'm totally hooked. I'm looking for a stock LBP with no accidents or bodywork, less than 70k miles, less than 50k would be ideal. 10 VINs would be great, but I'll accept a replaced bumper.
My first question has to do with my post in Body and Paint. Where is the best place to post to get advice on a particular car? The several people who responded were very helpful, but was this the best place to post? Especially if, like the car I posted, there are multiple issues.
I think I'm going to have a hard time finding a car so I think I need to look nationwide, but I can't go jetting about the country to inspect, and honestly, I don't know enough about the car yet. I'm learning, but I'm not knowledgeable enough (who knew there's a common problem with water intrusion into the trunk through the vent under the bumper?!). I've seen a couple of YouTubers suggest finding a local S2k-fu master to check out the car. Is this really an accepted thing to do? How much is normally paid for the service? Where to post the request? I assume in the appropriate geographic forum, but just want to make sure.
Thanks for a great site, and thanks in advance for any help you can give.
Keith
