Default Introducing Dravens08s2k

After a couple years of being on s2ki forum I decided to post an introduction thread. But before I do so, I just wanted to give a little background on myself and how I came across MY08 Chicane S2000. I first purchased a NFR 03 S2k in 2006-07ish. I finally bought my dream car! And I was so excited to rev 9k all day. Only mods I did to this S2000 was drop it with Tein springs, Ebay intake and an OEM hardtop. I mainly just parking lot pimped this car and occasionally took sharp turns quick. I didn't know about s2ki.com till 2011/12!

A couple years later...

Now I'm married about to have my first child and my wife doesn't like riding in MY03 S2k. It messes up her hair, so I barely take my S2k out. One day, my wife ask if we could go on a drive, in the S2k, with the top down. I was a bit confused but after a quick second I said yes, with a giant smile. We drove for about couple of hours and I was revving up the engine so I could hear the vtec kick in. It sounded like 100 unicorns farting all at once! My wife was navigating me "poorly" around the greater Puget Sound area and some how we ended up at a Subaru dealership. We looked at a few cars at the lot. I test drove a 2010 WRX STI, but it was a stick shift and she didn't know how to drive one. In the end we decided to purchase a 2010 Forester. I know right. I traded in my03 s2k for an automatic Forester and I think that was one of the saddest days in my life.

(Not my car)

Fastfoward to the near present future...

As I'm driving around in my bootleg version of a soccer Dad's mini van (Forester), my wife is always noticing that I'm checking out s2000s every time I see one driving on the road. I would always tell her. "Man, I sure do miss my s2k, bae. I wish I still had one." I'm coming home from work on a sunny day and she called me, telling me to go check out this gray car in Bell-town, so I did. As I get to the dealership I noticed that the gray car that she wanted me to check out, was a 2008 Chicane Silver S2000! Few hours later I drove home with my...err, I mean our new sports car.

Here are a few pics of the car.

Thanks. I guess I should make a build thread too Kwv3s, Eibach sways front/rear, Rpf1s 17x8/9+45 with 225/255 motivos, asm duckbill wing, lowproaero full diffuser kit, Borla exhaust with Berk 63mm test pipe, Hondata Flashpro with tune from Gernby, Fugen hardtop (Forbidden), K&N intake, PWJDM strut bar ("brace myself bar"), Competition Clutch stage 3.5 with light flywheel, clutch delay valve delete, oem lip, heated seats , and soon to be boosting (comptech base kit with a nv1200 blower probably use a 4" pulley 9-10psi). Hmmm, might be missing some stuff lol.

Great story, and it has a happy ending of course.

While I'm sure you still miss your red AP1, your Chicane Silver 08 is a real head turner. and I really what you have done to it so far.

Yep, my only days off are in the middle of the week. I'm working Thursday-Monday right now until evening or night, not a great work schedule.
