I'm fairly new here and new to the S2000 I wanted to introduce myself and my 5th Honda and first S2000. A 2001 totally standard, car it was recently advertised on here locally to myself so 5 days after selling my civic EK9 and vowing that one fun car was enough with my Supra filling that that gap I cracked and decided I needed another Honda in my life so I went to view this car.

The car was pretty clean a few minor blemishes here and there but most importantly the underside was clean and rust free and with a new hood 4 years ago I decided that the car was worth the money and bought the car.

I'm lucky enough to have a close friend who has his own dyno so I decided to get some baseline figures to check the engines health and allow me to check the effectiveness of any future tuning mods if I decide to play with the car. The car made 239hp at the fly so its exactly as it should be. We also did a second run with the factory air box lid removed to see what if any possible gains I could see by fitting an induction kit. The car made 1/10th of a hp more without the air box lid so as expected an induction kit is a total waste of money on a stock engine except for the improved noise.
