Cool Just bought an s2000... why not join a forum.

Hey guys, I always wanted a s2000, just never had the opportunity to snatch one up. Well, this past week my old man surprised me and my pockets with one. He knew I wanted one for a while now and he found one on auction and had a bid war on it without my knowledge LOL. Well, he didn't pay much, but now I have to sell my Hayabusa to give him back his loses. Thanks Dad? It's a little 2002 S2000 with 87k miles. It was in a wreck, but hey, it wasn't paid close to 10 grand so im happy It needs a bumper and a little pull by the radiator no big deal, I got a buddy with a body shop who will take car of that. It also has a shitty rag top, but I plan on getting a hardtop since these little go carts like to disappear in good ol' Chicago, along side with a fuel pump cut off switch

The car is going to be my daily driver, for now, since I can't drive my '02 Trans Am WS6 GMMG BlackBird #40, I like to say I'm not going to drive it since its a collector car, but its mostly because I can't get out my 10 degree driveway in the winter
The hidden plan with the little s2000 is to fix it up and build it NA, for track and daily use. Autobahn country club is 20 minutes away and a buddy of mine holds the track record so I'll get some good driver mod tips. But thats only if I enjoy it stock and see potential in it.

Since I need a bumper I talked to a good friend at a local Honda dealership and he told me its $260 for an OEM bumper, but since I plan to do some small aesthetic "mods" I was wondering why not go with an aftermarket one? Now I don't plan on spending big money for a bumper so I was looking at Duraflex or VIS, they seem pretty cheap, I'm guessing its cheap quality as well? If anyone has input please let me know.

With this since I plan on doing track days I'm going to be on the lookout for some nice Enkei NT03's, I'd like 17's...? Or APEX ARC8 rims, my buddies performance shop has a deal with those and he used to rock them on his race car, super lightweight. I don't think anyone has them on their s2000, so I probably will go test fit them some day and post it up.

Suspension, brakes, headers, intake, tune, blah blah blah etc. i'll look into that in the forum and not waste time.
I have a big brake kit that was suppose to go on my trans am, ssbc they need 18inch rims to clear.. I wonder If I can fit those HUGE calipers on it?????? IDEAS IDEAS IDEAS.

My last little paragraph is a question. I have the chance to buy BC stage 2 cams, do I need to buy valvesprings, or anything else supporting the cams, can they just be dropped in the car (I know it will need tuning)??
Thanks guys, I'll get a little pictures tomorrow of all my junk once I figure out how to upload them

...other than that, kinda pumped for this lil go kart!!

Hello and welcome to the Forums! If you do purchase the BC stage 2 cams go with the same brand springs and retainers.

Hey guys sorry for the delay. I went on a small ski trip with a couple buddies, even though it didn't snow . I have not really worked on the car yet, I'm going to take it to the body shop tomorrow, to see if the headlight support can be straightened out and to have a professional asses whether if there is any more hidden damage to the car... The radiator is on its way, and I'm buying the Honda Radiator Type 2 fluid.... When I was looking at the car I noticed the exhaust didn't look very OEM-ish so I went on my favorite search engine, Google, and started searching. I discovered that I have a Tanabe Medalion Cat-Back dual exhaust on the car. I'd prefer a single side exhaust, but I really can't complain. I youtube'd some videos and it seems like the exhaust is decent. But I'll stop nagging and finally show you the car.

Just dropped off the bumper and headlight support at the body shop. I forgot to take pictures of the car so far, but its all straight no frame damage. The car is almost complete, just needs to the parts put on and have the bumper and fender painted. Then it's ready to hit the streets. Since the car is on a lift with no front tires, I had a chance to look at it and noticed that the car had, skunk2 springs? cool .
All the parts bought are OEM from my local Honda Dealership. They hooked it up real good!
I will be starting a build thread for this car.
