just got an '06 silver s2k.
To make a long story short -
I bought a GPW 06 with 65k miles, and it turned out it had compression loss on cyl. 2 and 3. The dealer wasn't aware, and took it back and reversed everything, thankfully! Shopped around a bit more for something "nicer", and found a silver 06 with 22k miles. Brand new practically, and not a single body panel had been repainted, or worked on, etc. Came with owners manuals, all the keys and remotes, tonneau cover, still in factory warranty (though I still bought an extended one) - it was awesome!
My first S2000 was a MY05 BB, and it had a weird sloppy shifter for some reason. Man, now I understand what everyone was talking about when they say the S2000 had a snick-snick shifter!
Fun facts:
In the 06 GPW's secret compartment, I found ~10-15 prescription muscle relaxant pills.
In the 06 silver's secret compartment, I found a pair of nashbar(?) sunglasses, case, and lenses.
Buying S2ks are so much fun.
Oblig pics. I haven't had a chance to take a scenic drive and picture session yet, but I just popped into the garage to snap these for now. Couldn't really get a pic of the whole car, as the garage was pretty confining and I'm shooting with a prime lens.
