Post Just picked up an 05 Silverstone!

Hi S2Ki,

Been a member of the boards for nearly 2 years and finally did it. Picked her up last week - MY 2005, no mods, original owner with 20k miles. He took great care of the car. After ownership for one week, all I can say is woww~!! Absolutely amazing machine; it's everything I had expected and hoped it would be after all these years. Looking forward to learning a ton about the car, fixing her up, and meeting fellow S2000 owners!

Kinda hard losing that front plate when they are (4) frigging holes drilled, doh. Has anyone patched the holes (via Bondo, etc.) ?

And here's the old ride... '99 Acura 3.2TL with some goodies. She'll be missed!

i thought in CA it is required to have front license plate. i'm 80 percent sure it is illegal, and you might get in trouble.

I haven't gotten into trouble yet. And I live right near a police station. Everyday I go to work and school. And I see a police vehicle. And my car is lowered with gold rims, etc, etc. I have yet to be pulled over because of my license plate. That said nice car really nice. How much did you pay by the way?

Your car is smoking hott. I noticed that you're located in the Bay Area. Do you think you can teach me hands on how to clay and wax my car sometime?!

I agree with one of the posters above, buy bumper plugs, if you do get pulled over and ticketed, it is an easier fix than if you fill in the holes.

Yeah, I think it's worth the risk because the car (and most cars too) look so much better without that band-aid looking plate in the front. I didn't have my front plate on for the TL for 3 years and got hassled once for it. $20 fix-it ticket, no biggie.

*knock on wood

btw, were you asking me or the other guy about the price?
