Just Purchased a AP1!
Hey everyone,
I just got back from my trip to San Jose to pick up a S2K that I found on the For Sale forum here. It's a 2000, Berlina Black, with Black interior and when I purchased it, it had a very low 19419miles on it. After 23 hours of driving I finally made it home!
These pictures we're taken in Livermore where I was staying at my aunts hotel!

The drive home was a great way to get use to the car. I went from San Jose -> Livermore -> Salt Lake City -> Home (Calgary, Alberta Canada). The handling was amazing in the Montana mountains I was really satisfied with this car.
I have pics of the drive home I'll be sure to post them up after.
I just had a question. I did some research on the forums here and I noticed that some people were complaining about the downshifting rattling in 3rd and 2nd gear. The recall letter said it was a Clutch Disc problem that was causing this rattling noise. I normally don't downshift I got out of that habit because a set of brakes aren't anything compared to a new transmission or engine. I'm wondering if this is anything I should be worried about, will this somehow mess up my engine/transmission if I don't replace the disc?
Thanks alot everyone!

That is a very nice, and very clean first MY S. Looks well taken care of. Even the plastic window looks mighty fine. Better then my 01 looked before I unloaded it.
Congrats and enjoy!!!
Congrats and enjoy!!!
The previous owner was great. Owned the car since 2000, and he only drove it on weekends. I will be giving the car a good hand wash, claying, multi stage polsih, and give it a good waxing. As well as a good interior detail. I will be posting new pictures as well hopefully it will come out looking great.
