Just Purchased a AP1!
Very nice buy! but please allow me to give you 3 most important tips/things to look for.
1) Make sure to CHECK YOUR ENGINE OIL every time you go to the gas station, I don't care if you changed the engine oil last week, CHECK IT! Make sure it is in between the lines on the dipstick, otherwise you will end up amongst hundreds of us who oil starved our engine.
2) Keep the exterior clean and take care of it, keep the car out of the sun as much as possible because when sun hits that leather, not going to be good, and the hardtop, keep that taken care of as well. I suggest buying a car cover as well.
3) Be aware of that left tail lamp. The 2000 ones were known to "fade" in color. That red on the left tailight will fade later on to a lighter reddish-orange, I don't know what causes it, but 2 people I know have had that same problem in the 2000 s2000's, and it does not look pretty but it is replaced under factory recall. Just keep it out of the sun since sun damages most things.
Don't race/drift/redline (too much) on the streets, DO NOT! Take it on the tracks instead because this car is unforgiving
