ronnie~ i've owned all three generations of the s2000. i learned that in america cars are rated between 1 through 27 for insurance purposes. 27 being a ferrari. well the AP1 is a 23 on the scale and the AP2 is a 25 because of the 2.2L. so if i could afford a ferrari my insurance would not go up that much from where it is now. congrats and enjoi.

Congratulation on your new S2000.
$50,000 for S2000 is hard for us to believe, if it costs the same over here then we would see very few S2000's around. What you are paying is about 50% more than us.
also EVO in taiwan cost around 60k us dollars and a porsche 911 cost around 200k crazy how cars over in other countries cost so much

Now the wait is really over, almost. I picked up the car yesterday, drove home from the dealer's very carefully because it was pouring , so I just parked in the car port yesterday and it hasn't moved since. Weather is still awfull, so I am waiting for some decent weather to lower the top and drive away.

No pics yet. Maybe tomorrow.

Congratulations with the new car. I myself have to wait another 4 weeks. I guess my color combination was not on the ship (moonrock/brown). I like your combination just as well though. Looking forward to the pictures.

peer, keep us posted on the delivery. You're the second person I encounter who's getting an 06 in Belgium. What are you going to do about the floor mats ?

No idea about the floormats. The dealer didn't even mention them. Actually i bought the car of the dealers mom, while he was at the Brussels autoshow . She had him on the phone though.

Makes me proud to be an American! Cheap houses, cheap cars, and 99-cent burgers.

Don't forget, cheap gas! I'm not sure that's something to be proud of, though.

And 49-cents tacos too

I am not so sure about proud to be an American for low cost of living, but I sure am happy to be an American for not paying extra high taxes.

Back to the topic. What floor mats are you guys talking about. Aren't they included with the car without cost ?

Nope, the Honda floor mats with S2000 logo are officially an option, but often included
in the package as a bonus.
We do get a fire extinguisher for free though
