hey everyone. My name is Dan and I have a problem....I am definitly buying an s2000 in the near future, but I can't decide. The honda dealership has a 2001 with 55k and a 2004 with 42k. The 01 is in way better shape, but there are things about it I don't like such as, the plastic rear window, smaller wheels, and smaller engine...please help me with this

I say get the 04 anyway, If i could go back and do it all over again i would have bought an AP2. It has nothing to do with the engine even though it does have alot better low end. Mechanically it has a stronger rear diff, and better transmission and is USUALLY (not always)a few ticks faster than an ap1. Also a glass back window and IMO better looking interior, head/tail lights, front/rear bumpers, exhaust(i like the ovals), and rims.

 

I'm debating between the same thing . . . I think i'm gonna go with the 04. Lower miles, for about $30-40 more a month, bigger engine, etc. Where are you located?

 

I suggest you just go buy the MY04 because it's just a better daily driver and it's more comforting to drive than a MY01.

 

The only drawback is the diff. You don't like the plastic window: neither do I, so I got an 02. Get the 04 according to your post. You'll be pleased.
