That’s fair and also why I noted “plenty” of people instead of everyone. The “want” to hang on to the car (or whatever the toy might happen to be) is usually there, but the means to actually make that happen on the other hand often does not exist at that stage of life. That could be due to space, money, both, etc.. Understanding where you fall within that spectrum is important and should be guiding your decisions to a large degree.

The other thing to keep in mind is that “shit happens” as the saying goes. Even if you might be in a position to keep the car you never know when that might change. In such an event it is easier to sell a car with no title issues (or previous title issues as the case may be).

I'd still like to know what engine is in the car. As a driver it seems great. Not so to an overly anal collector -- heck, I replaced the roof on mine.
