Default Looking to own one of these three in the next 48hrs

Hey guys, I've been a lurker for almost 3 years now and am finally in the position to get an S2K in the next 48hrs (If my bank approves of course). I intend on spending a lot of time inspecting the one that receives the best comments. Please let me know which one of these are worth looking at, my price limit is $16k. Thank you guys!

I would guess the first one is Silverstone, but a crappy camera can make either look like the other. It looks stock other than the smoked side markers and removed S2000 logo.

The suzuka has AP2 rims, clear side markers, and cleared headlights.

The black one has the optional side strakes, but the driver side is missing. It is also missing the front strakes (mud flap looking things in front of the wheels). It also looks like the top doesn't fold down properly. The front right fender liners looks odd too.

I would go drive them all and not rush to make a purchase. Drive a few AP1s and a few AP2s to find out which you prefer.

Of the three, just from a quick glance, I would go for the Suzuka Blue. It looks clean OEM and unmodified except the JDM headlights and side markers. I suspect the previous owner was also a JDM enthusiast? Possibly.

The black seems to have some scratch marks on the back and the sides...which are good indications that the car wasn't well taken care of.

The silver one has the least mileage but I would consider which colour I like better. 30,000 mile difference shouldn't be the deal break, it depends on the condition of the car. But as noted, removed S2000 logo, I don't know if someone stole them or...

Welcome.

When you get one check out the link in my signature.

I vote black. This is because it is the only AP2 you have listed. Do you know the differences between the years? IMHO AP2 > AP1.

Sorry what is the font strakes? Some people make their own mud flaps but there was never an OEM option.

Just to add;
1. Aftermarket wheels which probably don't fit properly. When test driving listen for contact with the fenders.
2. Aftermarket shift knob.
3. Driver seat looks really worn out.

All S2000s have them, they are the little black rubber pieces that stick down in front of the front wheels. I had to replace one and Honda calls the part a strake so that is what I called it. I have no idea what they do.

Wait, obviously the person has not driven either of them and here you are telling him to pick AP2 purely because you prefer the AP2? When I pick a car I would consider not only the version but also the condition. There's a reason for test drive...and I think he wants our opinions based on the conditions of these three cars.

Clearly the black AP2 was rather heavily modified before, as suggested by the scratched up sideskirts and back bumper...AP2 rims missing possibly due to previous owner wanted blacked-out or riced-out rims, sold the AP2 to make more profit, and keep those on to get the deal going...

I would not even consider the black one, it's been modded and has a lot of miles, probably "hard" miles, and it's black, very hard to keep clean.

The blue one is nice, lots of miles though, AP2V1 wheels ok I guess, but you gottal love the AP1 wheels on an AP1. There is a lot of blue inside this one, though the AP2 radio cover does break it up a bit.

The silver car is the one I would pick, least miles, least molested other than emblem removal and side markers, easy to keep clean. I own the exact same car and truly love it!

It's definitely Silverstone. It's also the one that gets my vote. Looks like it's the cleanest overall and well-kept.

I would go for the silver. I was in a similar situation and ended up buying the lower mileage/well kept s2k for just a tad bit more.

The Silverstone s2k is from a dealership so you'll also end up paying a bit more for fees. It seems like the blue one is from a privat party, therefore I think you'll get a better deal if you go that route. They both look taken care of. I think both of the cars are a bit overpriced. 14k seems expensive for a car with 102k. For some reason the blue s2k stands out to me. I love the ap2 wheels.
