Hello,

I am looking into buying an S2000 to double as a track car and daily driver. I currently ride an 09 Daytona 675. Previously I have owned an 08 CBR600RR, 06 Ninja 650, and an 06 Ninja 500.

Trackdays on the bikes are a blast, but an "off" on a bike is much different than an "off" in a car. This makes me a bit more weary to push myself.

Also, I ride my bikes around town a lot, and they are just plain dangerous. Every time I go on a long ride, some idiot tries to kill me. It is a shame, because the motorcycles are so convenient and just plain a blast to ride.

Since I was old enough to think about driving, I have feigned for an S2K, so I figure it will be a good transition. I thought about some others like the Miata or even a Boxster, but I just plain don't like the Miata and the Boxster will be too costly to maintain (especially as a track car).

So, I am planning on selling my bike (09 675) and my 07 Rav4, and taking that money to buy an S2000, preferably pre-modded.

Ended up picking up an 02 Spa Yellow S2K.

I picked up an early Spyder top. Not bad fitting and super light. His hardware is good stuff too!

 

Yeah, I looked through quite a bit of the pages on his thread. Looks like good stuff and he answered all my questions nice and quick.

Can't wait to get this thing to the track.
