Looks like I'll be keeping her after all
Hey All,
Recently purchased an 05 Yellow S2000, but posted it up for sale because it was exacerbating a knee issue of mine, but since I've been driving it around things have actually been getting better and since I haven't had many bites I may as well keep her and fix her up.
Unfortunately, I paid too much money for her. She has some paint issues and a couple of dents on the underside of the car. The bumper needs to be resprayed because whoever did the job before did a terrible job, it's not even the same shade of yellow! I'm going to post pics of the dent on the underside of the car and ask your opinions about what i should do. To fix that plus the bumper will cost $1800. I was thinking maybe I could just cover it up with some side skirts or search around for replacement parts off a wrecker. There's also a mark on one of the fenders that has horrible touch up paint on it. I figure it I resolve all the paint issues it'll be worth more in the future.
Anyway, I picked up a K&N FIPK for $225 and a full stoptech brake kit. Also looking at an Ingalls ETD and a countersunk shift knob. Anyone know if the CR knobs are countersunk?
I'm 6'1", which isn't too bad for the car, but the steering wheel rubs against my leg, which makes quick turns difficult. I have seat rails installed, but it still rubs. Would a flatbottom wheel solve that issue or is there another suggestion?
Lastly, she isn't 100% stable on the highway. Is this due to the parachuting effect from poor underbody aero or something else? She doesn't list to one side, but is more just floating around.
