Maritime S2000 owner reporing in.
Hello All!!
My name is Craig, I am from New Brunswick, Canada. Eh!
I have been browsing this site for about 4 years now, for the first year it was deciding whether or not to buy the car of my dreams. As you've likely guessed I did take the plunge and bought my very own s2000. Its a 2000 silverstone, it had 62k on the odomiter when I got it, that was in 2010. Now there have 150k..something, summer driven only of course. Love it!
Not much done to it really, lowered with skunk2 springs, K&N FIPK, TWM Desert Eagle shift knob, and it came with the tonneau cover. I'd like a hardtop and some different wheels eventually. For now tho I am very happy, I love the sound of my FIPK...mmmmm.
Thanks to the forum, I have been able to swap/upgrade the clutch, perfrom an axle bucket swap found what was causing my "random misfire" code, amoung a few other things. I have gained alot of knowldge on my car over the years. I apprecieat all the hard work you all put into the site.
I thought i would share a small story of my car also. If you care to read.
When I got my car I was elated! I had to drive it to work the next day for sure. So I did what a wonderful drive it was, beautiful spring day, winding roads with the top down for the first time, everything went without a hitch. Parked at work, (by the way I'm a residental painter and drywall finnisher), so this was at a clients house and he has a very large paved driveway and parking area. So naturally, as I'm sure some of you would do, I parked at the back corner of the driveway so not to get hit or scratched. Well it didn't play out as I expected. The homeowner sent one of his young workers to his house to get something, he parked at the front of the driveway nearest the house. When he left he backed the whole way back and put his Chevy Silverado's rear bumper onto my rear bumper and taillight. It all worked out in the end the homeowner felt terrible where it was the first day of driving the car, I went and got a quote and had it in the shop getting it fixed by the next day.
Here are a some pictures to go along with the story followed by some my friends took. Thanks for reading and I look forward to learning more and getting to know you all better.
